Guide for communication on EMTRAIN project

GUIDE FOR COMMUNICATION ON IMI PROJECTS (adapted for EMTRAIN)

All communication activities and products on EMTRAIN (articles, project websites, presentations, flyers, press releases etc.):
  • should include:
    • a phrase referring to the IMI/EU funding and the EFPIA in kind contribution:
      The research leading to these results has received support from the Innovative Medicines Initiative Joint Undertaking under grant agreement n° 115015, resources of which are composed of financial contribution from the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) and EFPIA companies’ in kind contribution. 1,2
    • the web address of IMI
    • the IMI logo3,
    • the European emblem3,4,
    • and the EFPIA logo3
    • in their respective entire and original forms, and always separately from the IMI project logo. The use of the IMI logo, the European emblem and the EFPIA logo should not create confusion between the user and the Innovative Medicines Initiative Joint Undertaking, the European Union institutions or EFPIA respectively. To this end, no other trademark, service mark, symbol, design or trade name should be used in conjunction with the logos. It should be made clear in the text and layout that the communication reflects the author's view and that neither IMI nor the European Union and EFPIA are liable for any use that may be made of the information contained therein. The use of the IMI, EU and EFPIA logos is subject to general third-party use restrictions which do not permit the appropriation of these logos, or of any similar trademark or logo, whether by registration or by any other means.

  • for review before publication or release, to allow IMI to provide useful input and to prevent misunderstandings (for instance, IMI projects are sometimes confused with FP7 projects).
  • should follow the rules in the Project Agreement and the Grant Agreement of the project.
On request, IMI will provide paragraphs of text explaining IMI and providing up to date information on IMI activities of interest.

A guideline for the creation of a project Communication Plan will be made available by the IMI Executive Office, and can be used as a toolbox for building a project-tailored communication plan.
